Metal plate attached to stone post by the UC road, in parish of QUENINGTON (COTSWOLD District), Springfield Road, in garden of cottage No 1 hidden against hedge, on West side of road. Cirencester iron plate, erected by the Cirencester to St John's Bridge turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- CIRENR. 8 MILES Milestone Society National ID: GL_CISR08.
