Cast iron post by the A39, in parish of Glastonbury (Mendip District), Pomparles Bridge between Street and Glastonbury, on grass verge, on West side of road. Plated iron casting, erected by the Wells turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : WELLS / 7 / MILES : : B / WATER / 13 / MILES : Somerset HER.
