Metal plate attached to stone post by the B5009 (was A5), in parish of SELATTYN AND GOBOWEN (OSWESTRY District), Bryn-y-castell; by "Perryvale", by the road, on West side of road. Telford gabled iron plate, erected by the Holyhead Road turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- HOLY- HEAD 86 - M SALOP 20 M - 6F Carved benchmark below plate. Grade II listed.
