Metal plate attached to stone post by the B1224, in parish of WETHERBY (LEEDS District), York Road near The Beeches cul de sac, just West of bridge over A1, on the verge, on North side of road. WR iron casting, erected by the County Council in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : YORK / 13 MILES : : COLLINGHAM & YORK / ROAD / WETHERBY : : WETHERBY / ½ MILE / COLLINGHAM / 2½ MILES / LEEDS / 13 MILES : Hole in top. Grade II Listed.
