Carved stone post by the A6, in parish of KIRKLAND (WYRE District), North Hook, on the verge, on West side of road. Lancs CC stone triangle, erected by the County Council in the 19th/20th century. Inscription reads:- : GARSTANG / 1¼ MILES / LANCASTER / 12 MILES : : KIRKLAND : : GT ECCLESTON / 5¼ MILES / POULTON LE FYLDE / 11¼ MILES / BLACKPOOL / 15 MILES : Grade II Listed.
