Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of BATCOMBE (MENDIP District), Portway Hill, South West of Portway Farm, in hedge beside road, on West side of road. Batcombe stone, erected by the Bruton turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription illegible. Milestone Society National ID: SO_BC01A.
