Metal plate attached to stone post by the B6265, in parish of WHIXLEY (HARROGATE District), 25m North of lane to Tancred Farms, on grass verge beside hedge, on East side of road. Boroughbridge plate, erected by the York & Boroughbridge turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : YORK / 11 MILES : : BOROUGH / BRIDGE / 6 MILES : Milestone Society National ID: YN_BBYO06.
