Carved stone post by the A590, in parish of DALTON TOWN WITH NEWTON (BARROW IN FURNESS District), Lindal in Furness, on grass verge, on South side of road. Lancashires CC stone triangle, erected by the County Council in the 19th/20th century. Inscription reads:- : DALTON 1½ MLS / BARROW 5¼ : : DALTON : : ULVERSTON 3 MLS / GRANGE 18¾ MLS / KENDAL 29 / LANCASTER 40 : Milestone Society National ID: LA_LABA40.
