Stone post (plate lost) by the A261, in parish of HYTHE (SHEPWAY District), London Road, West of junction with Old London Road, by "Romney Elm", back of verge, against hedge, on South side of road. Hythe marker, erected by the Faversham to Hythe & Canterbury turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- : (Ashford / 10½) : : (Hythe / 1) : Carved bench mark and rivet on top. Milestone Society National ID: KE_LF64.
