The milestone is located about 400m north of the junction with the A417 Church Lane, by the middle of 3 cottages, on the wide cut grass verge, on the east side of the road. Parish of Corse (Forest of Dean District). Carved stone post, Maisemore marker design, erected by the Maisemore (District of Hereford & Gloucester) turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- GLOSTER / 6 / MILES Carved benchmark on lower front face Milestone Society National ID: GL_GLUP06
