Cast iron post by the B6086, in parish of SHEFFIELD (SHEFFIELD District), was on A6135 at Sheffield Lane Top, now at Firth Park Road; junction with Hucklow Road, inside entrance to park near traffic island, on South side of road. Erected by the Wakefield & Sheffield turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : SHEFFIELD / 3 / MILES : : LONDON / 166 : : BARNSLEY / 11 / MILES : Milestone Society National ID: YS_BNSF11.
