Metal plate attached to stone post by the A164, in parish of LECONFIELD (EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE District), North of entrance to Barracks, behind footpath on a grass verge, on East side of road. Beverley Mounting block, 3 step, erected by the Beverley to Kendale House turnpike trust in the 18th/19th century. Inscription reads:- BEVERLEY 2 - DRIFFIELD 11 Carved benchmark and rivet on top step. Humber HER listed.
