Cast iron post by the UC road, in parish of MARKET BOSWORTH (HINCKLEY AND BOSWORTH District), Bosworth Road; Hillrise, near Park View Farm on Carlton Parish Boundary, on the verge, on East side of road. Bosworth open book, erected by the Burton on Trent to Market Bosworth turnpike trust in the 19th century. Originally further South nearer to Common Farm at about SK 4020 0487. Inscription reads:- MILES BURTON - 17. MEASHAM - 6 BOSWORTH - 1 Grade II listed.
