Metal plate attached to stone post by the B4008, in parish of STROUD (STROUD District), Westward Road, in front of office block (Tricorn House) next to roundabout, on the verge, on South side of road. Stroud iron plate, erected by the Cainscross (Division) turnpike trust in the 19th century. Metal plate inscription reads:- TO STROUD 1 MILE Inscription above reads:- : (Left) : Seek ye / THE LORD / while / He may be / found : : (Front) : Behold / now / is the / Accepted / Time : Grade II listed.
