Cast iron post by the B1137 (was A12), in parish of HATFIELD PEVEREL (BRAINTREE District), The Street, by layby, by the road, on South East side of road. Ransome iron casting, erected by the Chelmsford (Division of Essex First District) turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : Chelmsford / 6 : : TO / LONDON / 35 / Hatfield : : Witham / 2 : Maker:- : RANSOME / IPSWICH. : Milestone Society National ID: EX_CHCO35.
