Cast iron post by the A51, in parish of MAER (NEWCASTLE UNDER LYME District), Blackbrook, on the verge in front of brick wall, on South side of road. Lathe iron casting, erected by the County Council in the 19th/20th century. Inscription reads:- : PIPEGATE 2 / WOORE 3¼ / NANTWICH 11¼ : : MAER : : STONE 10 : Maker:- : Chas.
