The 2-storey rubble warehouse building at the Llangollen Wharf probably dates from the construction of the canal (1804-8). It was later heightened and extended in red brick. It now houses the Canal Museum, tea room and ticket office. It is a Grade II listed building (Cadw ref: 1225 http://cadwpublic-api.azurewebsites.net/reports/listedbuilding/FullReport?lang=en&id=1225 ).
