Situated in Yardley Wood Road B14 4BN, this bus garage opened on Wednesday 9th November 1938 to serve bus routes in the South Birmingham area. It was originally owned by Birmingham City Transport until the West Midlands Passenger Transport Executive took it over on Wednesday 1st October 1969. Now owned by National Express West Midlands, it houses about 140 vehicles operating on routes 2,3,6,18,27,35,49,50 and 76 in the South Birmingham and Solihull areas. The entrance to the garage can be seen to the extreme left of the photo.
