A splendid Victorian hall that is the pride of the village, built in 1896 by Sir Cecil Miles. In 1915, the whole Abbots Leigh Estate was sold and the hall was part of the lots. It was then given to the village council in 1927 by Mrs Yda Richardson, who at that time resided in the Manor House. She also gave a hall to the village of Norton Malreward. Yda was the niece of Lord Winterstoke (formerly Sir William Henry Wills, member of the tobacco company family).
