Where does Mile End Road become Whitechapel Road? Right here, because if you exit the White Hart by the doorway shown, turn to your right, (left on the photo) and cross the intersecting Cambridge Heath Road, and you will be in Whitechapel Road - interestingly, you will also be in front of another pub, the 'Blind Beggar'.
