I am stood on the public brake van ride that I organised via Brigg Tourist Information Office and am photographing a private party having its own brake van ride. The motive power is the Appleby Frodingham Railway Preservation Society's 0-6-0 Yorkshire Engine Co diesel electric locomotive. Our train was being variously pushed or pulled by a British Steel locomotive with radio control. The red stack is the flare stack for the Dawes Lane Coke Ovens. These are now out of use.
