The building on the left Image at the corner of Wellington Road and Grand Central hosts a number of welfare services providers including the Children in Care Council, Mosaic (services for people affected by substance abuse) and other family and children's support services. It had previously been used by the debt-management company First Step who went into liquidation in 2014 after the directors were disqualified for taking client funds. Across the A6, Wellington Road South are a group of buildings currently consisting of: The Wellington Free House, a newly opened pub in what had been a William Hill betting office; Luxury Nails; A-Best Nursing and Care in premises previously the offices of Avis Image; Sultan Kebabs & Stockport Night Shop which was previously Spice Land; Beijing City, formerly the Tung Hing Lau Image
