This is the first, going downstream towards London, of the two adjacent Gas Locks, reflecting their proximity to the site of Berkhamsted's former gasworks. In this picture Concorde II makes a determined exit from the lock, while the operator of Haznortra Lady on the right waits patiently for his turn.
