Kingsway is a road in Bishop Auckland running to the east of and parallel to, the town's main shopping street, Newgate Street. Despite 'gentrification' going on in the northern part of the town - beyond the farther buildings - there's been some deterioration as a shopping centre which can surely be blamed on the large out of town development at Tindale Crescent, just a couple of kilometres distant..
