Located above the sea wall, right at the bottom of Baytown - the locals preferred name for this village. Does this building hold the record for the most long distance footpaths that pass near to its front door? The Cleveland Way National Trail, E2 European Long Distance Footpath, North Sea Trail and England Coast Path. Of course Wainwright's Coast to Coast Eastern Terminus is the main claim to fame. The bar is even named after the grandfather of all walkers, of a certain grumpy disposition. The trail now seems to be given his name as a prefix, perhaps to differentiate it from Heaton's Coast to Coast from Blackpool to Redcar - as yet not written or in print.
