A view up the hill from the pedestrianised part towards Upper Parliament Street. The former Post Office is on the left, Waterhouse's Prudential Building on the right and the former Elite Cinema beyond it. In the distance is another startlingly white building, Nottingham Trent University's Newton Building. The picture was taken in early September, on a bright late-summer morning with a hint of impending autumn about it.
