Looking "north" from bridge 172. The section of canal to the next bridge to the "north" (173) has been cleared by the Lancaster Canal Trust. Polythene and blocks are being laid to seal the canal. A clay dam under bridge 173 will enable this section to be refilled. The clay dam under bridge 172 will be removed.
