Opened in 1938 by the London Passenger Transport Board as the terminus of the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines from London, this station replaced the 1904 station at Belmont Road that had been built by the Metropolitan Railway. View south west towards the buffers. Like 55% of the London Underground network, this part is actually overground.
