Opened in 1923 as "Hillingdon (Swakeleys)" by the Metropolitan Railway on the line from Harrow to Uxbridge, this station closed in 1992 to allow the rerouteing of the A40 through the site. I was replaced by a new one immediately behind the camera position. View north east towards Ickenham and Harrow. Like 55% of the London Underground network, this part is actually overground.
