Spiral guided gas holder in the down position and photographed from town bridge. As far as I know National Grid has decommissioned all of its gas holders (not counting ones in private industry) and apart from any that are listed they are being gradually dismantled. The survivors are all to be found in the down position (unless there are any surviving MAN type holders left).
