As seen from the 5th Quarter Community Garden. The 5th Quarter group has recently started reviving a patch of wasteland behind Tudor Hall > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5816700 on the site of the Boulton & Paul ironworks, of which nothing remains. Boulton & Paul were producing everything from chicken wire to church pews, and when WW1 broke out they won government contracts for a range of construction products vital to the war effort. The company is for this reason best remembered as manufacturers of aircraft which were made in their Riverside factory and assembled at Mousehold Heath.
