The local community bought the Swan Inn in 2017 when it was threatened with closure, thanks to a grant from the Scottish Land Fund. In April 2018 they received a further grant from the National Lottery Fund, which will allow them to develop the building into a cafe, restaurant, and shop as well as a traditional pub [https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-43741688].
