To the right, the ivy-clad west wall of Fintray old kirk (built ca. 1703, abandoned ca. 1821 when the replacement church was built a couple of hundred metres to the north); to the left, the morthouse from 1830 built at the height of the age of body-snatchers (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_snatching ). Both kirk (LB9144: http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB9144 ) and morthouse (LB9145: http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB9145 ) are C-listed. There are a one or two interesting 18th Century grave stones in the kirkyard.
