This used to be The Golden Ball public house but now it is The Old Mill and part of a small chain of restaurants called Village Green Restaurants. In 2016 the chain was purchased by Kent brewers Shepherd Neame. They have not been given Shepherd Neame branding and this one, at least, serves beers from other breweries. Presumably the building was at one time a mill (the sign shows a windmill) or built on the site of one. The present building dates from the early 19th century. It is Grade II listed. It is adjacent to the A28 road and some way out of the built-up area of Kennington, which has become a suburb of Ashford. Other photographs:- Image Image Image
