The inscription on the foundation stone of St Andrew's church Image reads: TO THE GLORY OF GOD THIS STONE WAS LAID BY THE RIGHT REVEREND EDMUND ARBUTHNOTT KNOX D D LORD BISHOP OF MANCHESTER SEPTR 24TH 1907.
