A poor photograph with some snow in the air, converging verticals and a bit against the light. Nonetheless, this is a very fine mill with an intact chimney and a huge engine house that once contained one of the largest engines ever built for a Lancashire mill, although only half of it was connected up. The mill was designed as a double mill but the second half (to the left of the chimney) was never built. The pear motif on top of the stair tower is particularly fine. The mill is Listed.
