One of several such original mileposts along this stretch of the canal. This one was Grade II listed https://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101242775-milepost-shropshire-union-canal-25-miles-to-south-of-norbury-junction-gnosall#.WrEON9SLTGg in 1972, and is very similar in style to the next two to the north at Image & Image
