Italianate mansion built in 1870s for shipping magnate and founder of Blue Funnel Line, Arthur Holt. Used during the Great War as an Auxiliary Hospital and as a convalescent recovery home for women in 1922 to relieve the General Hospital. Now converted to luxury flats behind electric gates, fences and walls.
