Contiguous with the former Midland/HSBC Bank building to its left, the former AGA store and Bargain Crafts & Gifts shop on Heol Maengwyn dates from the early 19th century, and was given a Grade II listing https://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/300008415-bargain-carfts-gifts-machynlleth#.WoU4SvnFKM8 in 1990.
