This building was originally the chancel of the mediaeval church; when a large new church was added to it in 1866, it became its south aisle; then the new church was demolished and the original building was vested in the Trust in 1975. A 17th century font and an outstanding 14th century effigial slab have survived all these vicissitudes. The remains of the demolished building can be seen alongside.
