Audlem Mill

This imposing building, right beside the Shropshire Union Canal at Audlem, dates from 1915 when it was built as an animal feed mill. It became known locally as the Kingbur Mill, after its owner (H Kingsley Burton), and until the early 1930s received and despatched goods via the canal. The mill eventually closed in the late 1960s, becoming a canal shop, workshop and art gallery in the 1970s.
