Linnels Bridge

This ancient bridge over the Devil's Water on the B6306 is a grade II listed structure. Completely inadequate for modern traffic, not only with severe width and weight restrictions but also length restrictions dictated by the tight bends at both ends of the bridge. It appears that the first bridge on the site was built in 1581 but replaced by the present structure in 1698. See Image
