"A small C13 church of nave and chancel ... Then a little later a W tower was added ... The tower has a N-S passage, lancet windows above, diagonal buttresses, battlements, and a pyramidal roof" (Nikolaus Pevsner). The sun was low in the sky at 10.15 on a bright November morning. (In England 23 churches have this name, or its English translation. There are two in Scotland and one in Wales.)
