This company manufactured chemicals for the textile industry and possessed this small horizontal single cylinder steam engine. It was by an unknown maker at an unknown date. It was possibly installed c1915-20, stopped 1979 and removed in 1993. I last saw it at Farling Top Boilerworks, Cowling. The slide valve cylinder was c8" x 12" and the flywheel was 4' diameter. It drove by belt to the shaft above. Although it was ostensibly out of use they ran it for me from a vertical boiler. It was then stopped so I could photograph it.
