I can't imagine a pub that's more 'off the beaten track' anywhere in the Home Counties. The Cider House near Godalming would once have been a rival, but that (sadly) 'went' years ago. The Royal Oak at Fritham (in the New Forest) comes to mind - but that's a good 85 miles from London (and in a location that benefits from some passing trade). Another rival might be the Ferry Inn, at Harty on the Isle of Sheppey. At the time I took the photo the temperature was no more than a few degrees above freezing - and yet a number of customers had chosen to sit outside under the awning. Blankets are available at the bar!
