Cast iron lamppost on Haven Banks. A small plaque on the base states that it is one of six such lampposts previously on Exe Bridge (which was situated at the bottom of Fore Street and had been built in 1905, replacing an earlier Georgian bridge) and removed when the bridge was dismantled in 1973. It was then re-erected here by Exeter City Council in 1983. It was cast by W Macfarlane & Co at its Saracen Foundry in Glasgow, and dates from around 1905, the date of the bridge. In the background is King's Wharf (see Image - in that photo another of the lampposts can be seen on the opposite bank of the river from this one).
