Old cast iron "Try Your Brakes" sign, warning motorists after crossing the ford over the Muckle Burn. A throwback to an age when cars mostly had drum brakes and often needed to be dried out after passing through deep water, although quite how one would try your brakes on the steep climb up from the ford to Fornighty is not clear.
