This is behind a garden on the north west side of Hunter's Way. It would be impossible to cultivate the cliff face in this extensive sandrock exposure and the woodland may therefore be, in places, 'primary woodland', that is woodland that has sustained continuous tree cover since it developed after the last ice age. The historic record shows that, in the past, grape vines were grown against this cliff that is now largely hidden by modern housing..
