Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of BARNSTAPLE (NORTH DEVON District), Westaway Plain, just East of Youings Drive, 50m West of junction with Main Road, on the verge, under tall hedge/bush near turn, on South side of road. Barum tombstone, erected by the Barnstaple turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- 1 BARUM Carved benchmark on lower face. Grade II Listed.
