Carved stone post by the B3162, in parish of THORNCOMBE (WEST DORSET District), East of Maudlin Cross, 60m East of house 'Green View', set into bank and hedge, on South side of road. Chard limestone post, erected by the Chard turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- (Chard) (5) Milestone Society National ID: DO_CHWI05.
